Adult Mental Health Service
Are you struggling to care for yourself while caring for a family member?
Struggling to find joy and engage with family and friends due to anxiety and lack of confidence?
Signed off or out-of-work due to stress?
Recovering from a stroke and needing a space to process changes in how you live your life?

Similar to talking therapies, music therapy supports adult clients to live fuller lives. This could mean helping make connections in your thinking, processing trauma, managing pain and developing confidence and resilience to tackle daily anxiety and stress.
Our adult mental health service provides a confidential space for you to explore what obstacles are in the way of you being more yourself.
You don’t need a referral from a GP or any formal diagnosis, just give us a call or fill in our online form.

How much does it cost?
An 50-minute music therapy session at our Rosyth base is £48 and we offer the first meeting for £20, this is where we can get to know each other, you can ask any questions, and we can play some music together if there is time. We will also go through the consent form and contract if you would like to go forward with music therapy. We can provide a personalised price if you would prefer we visit you.
What do we do in music therapy?
Every session is personalised to the needs of the client and can include a range of music therapy interventions. This involves improvising music together with the instruments we provide, playing client’s favourite songs together, listening to music, and supporting clients to write their own music. No musical experience is required.
How long do I need therapy?
Everyone’s journey in therapy is different. Some clients are in therapy for a short time while others are in therapy long-term. There is no pressure to continue in therapy for a certain amount of time. After the initial consultation we recommend client’s try a few sessions as a trial-period to see if our therapist and music therapy are a good fit for them.
Where is it?
Our base is at the Fife School of Music on Torridon Road in Rosyth where we have a private space for music therapy. We also visit client’s in their homes and online.
